  • Boroughwide Public Space Protection Order – Dog Fouling

    The Council is consulting on plans to introduce a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO), this is a legal tool that councils can use to help keep public spaces safe and clean. In this case the PSPO is for dog fouling, setting out clear rules requiring dog owners to clean up after their pets. If someone fails to pick up after their dog or cannot demonstrate they have the means to do so, eg a poo bag, they can be issued a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) or face further enforcement action. ...
