Proposed Library Strategy
Overview
We want to hear your views on our proposed Library Strategy for 2027 to 2032.
We are proposing nine priorities for improving libraries and nine pledges setting out what people should be able to expect from us. We would like to know whether you think we have got these right and whether anything is missing.
Why your views matter
Libraries have always opened doors to opportunity. In Rochdale, they are part of our cooperative story and our belief that learning, shared knowledge and people working together can improve lives.
This strategy sets out how our 16 libraries will develop from 2027 to 2032. Books, reading and learning will remain at their heart. Libraries will also provide welcoming local places where people can get online, build skills, enjoy culture, meet others and find information or support.
The Proposed Library Priorities and Pledges document, Equality Impact Assessment and the Sustainability Impact Assessment can be found below in the related documents section at the bottom of this page.
