Publication Local Plan

Overview

In December 2025, we sought views on a Regulation 18 draft local plan. The consultation closed on 5 February 2026.

We have now considered all comments made on the draft Local Plan and finalised important evidence. Where appropriate, we have made amendments which are included in the Publication version of the Local Plan.

We are now seeking representations on the Publication Local Plan over a six-week period commencing on 14 August and ending at 23:59 on 25 September 2026. This is the final version that is consulted on prior to submission of the Local Plan to the Secretary of State for independent examination.

How to view the Publication Local Plan and make representations?

The Publication Local Plan can be viewed or downloaded below in the related documents section. Paper and electronic copies can also be viewed at the main libraries during normal opening hours.

Before responding to the consultation, please read the short guidance note on what makes a suitable representation, which can be found below in the related documents section.
