Thank you very much for all comments submitted to the savings proposals consultation. The staff and public consultation process have now concluded.  

Elected members have considered the final reports on this proposal including the staff and public views gathered during the consultation period. The decisions made are detailed below:

This proposal will introduce charges for the collection of bulky waste items such as beds, mattresses, carpets and chairs. These items are currently removed free of charge. Proposed charges will be £18 for up to three items plus £5 for every additional item. It is anticipated that the charges will generate additional income but will not significantly impact fly tipping.

Proposed full year saving 2012/13: £37,000
