Healthwatch Survey

Closed 21 Nov 2012

Overview

Rochdale MBC wants to hear your views about Local Healthwatch.  This is a new organisation being set up to provide information, advice and support about health and social care services.

Healthwatch is the new independent consumer champion for both health and social care.  It will exist in two distinct forms – Local Healthwatch at local level (from April 2013), and Healthwatch England at a national level (from October 2012).  Until April 2013 Local Involvement Networks (LINks) will continue to operate as usual.

Local Healthwatch will be funded by local authorities and held to account by them for their ability to operate effectively and be value for money.

The aim of the Local Healthwatch will be to give citizens and communities a stronger voice to influence and challenge how health and social care services are provided within their locality.  Local Healthwatch will also provide, or signpost people to, information to help them make choices about health and care services.

This consultation is your opportunity to give your views and help give us a better understanding as to how Local Healthwatch can best meet the needs of local people.

Please email completed surveys to valarie.griffin@rochdale.gov.uk or to Patient and Advice Liaison Service,  NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale, FREEPOST NEA 15390, Rochdale, OL16 3BR
