Denehurst Park Improvements

Closed 2 Nov 2013

Opened 1 Oct 2013

Overview

As part of the recent decision to establish a cemetery in part of Denehurst Park the council gave a commitment to invest and improve the remainder of the park in consultation with the local community.

This initial period of informal consultation will run for 4 weeks commencing Saturday 5 October 2013 and end on Saturday 2 November 2013.

The consultation aims to find out from the local community how you would like to see the park improved and to give you the opportunity to have your say.

In developing the park it is likely that formal planning consultation will also take place at a later date.

You can take part in the consultation a number of ways by:
• Completing the survey using the link below
• Emailing, writing or telephoning the council`s Parks Development Officer.
• Attending the visioning day at Denehurst Park on Saturday 5 October 2013 between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Visioning Day
A Visioning Day will be held at the park on Saturday 5 October between 10.00am and 2.00pm where you can find out more and let us have YOUR IDEAS about how YOU would like the park to be improved. This is YOUR CHANCE to shape the future of Denehurst Park – you can find out more and how to become involved by coming along to the Visioning day or by contacting the Parks Development Maanger, Ian Trickett at the address below.

The thoughts and ideas generated by this consultation will be used to help decide priorities when considering how the park should be improved. Hopefully if there is enough interest a Friends group (see document below) can be established from the local community to help develop the ideas more fully.
