Proposal for reduction in pupil admission number for St Thomas’ CE Primary School
Overview
St Thomas’ C.E. Primary School is seeking to reduce PAN from 21 places to 15 places from September 2026. This is in response to a falling birth rate in South Pennines. By reducing the intake to 15 places per year, it will create a more stable class structure for the school in the future, leading to a more purposeful long term curriculum. It will also remove the need to split year groups across two classes.
