Statement of Community Involvement July 2015
Overview
The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the ways in which the local community, businesses and key organisations can get involved in both the planning application process and key stages in the preparation of different parts of the local plan and other planning policy documents within Rochdale.
Why your views matter
The SCI was adopted in October 2010. We are now proposing an update to this document because over recent years there have been changes to the planning system and related legislation. Preparing the new SCI will enable the changes to be incorporated within the document. It has also provided an opportunity to review our consultation and engagement techniques, particularly the development of social media.
It is important in developing the final version of the SCI to have the view of key stakeholders and other interested parties.
Where to view and how to comment
Electronic copies are available below (under related documents). You can look at printed copies of the draft SCI in any of the Boroughs libraries and Customer information points.
