Guidelines & Standards for Residential Development Supplementary Planning Document November 2014
Overview
The purpose of this guidance is to assist in the process of ensuring high quality residential development throughout the Borough. It provides detailed guidance on:
- Standard on new residential developments;
- Alterations and extensions to existing dwellings;
- Other proposals which affect nearby residential uses;
- Proposed and existing detached outbuildings, where appropriate; and
- General design aims.
Why your views matter
It is important, in developing the final version of the Guidelines & Standards for Residential Development SPD, to have the views of local residents, key stakeholders and other interested parties.
Electronic copies are available below (under related documents). You can look at printed copies of the draft SPD in the following council libraries:
- Rochdale Central Library,
- Middleton Library,
- Heywood Library, and
- Littleborough Library
