Revised Statement of Community Involvement July 2020

Closed 24 Aug 2020

Opened 13 Jul 2020

Overview

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the ways in which the local community, businesses and key organisations can get involved in both the planning application process and key stages in the preparation of different parts of the local plan and other planning policy documents within Rochdale.

Why your views matter

The current Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted in 2019. In light of the Government’s current guidance to help combat the spread of coronavirus (COVID 19), the Council has undertaken a review of this SCI. We are now proposing an update to this document to make amendments to those consultation methods contained in it to allow plan making to progress in line with guidance including requirements for social distancing and to stay at home and away from others.
