Revised Local List for Validation of Planning Applications July 2020
Overview
Local Planning Authorities are required to publish a list of information they require to validate planning applications. This validation list is comprised of two components; the national requirements, including the application form, the fee, certificates etc., and the specific local validation requirements, known as the ‘Local List’, based on the particular type, scale or location of development.
Why your views matter
The Council has carried out a review of the current Local List and proposes to revise it. The main changes that are proposed are as follows:
- Change to the format and appearance of the Local List to ensure information requirements are clearer and that the document is more accessible and user-friendly;
- Additional and updated information requirements to ensure that the Local List accords with current legislation, policy and guidance at both a national and local level; and
- Updated links to website and guidance documents.
