Statutory Proposal for the Enlargement of Woodland Primary School

Overview

Rochdale Council is now consulting on a proposal to provide additional primary school places at Woodland Primary School, Heywood with effect from September 2018.

The proposal is to enlarge Woodland Primary School by providing an additional 30 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would be to increase the admission number to 90 from September 2018 for each new successive year group, from the current admission number of 60.

The current total capacity of the school is 420 places and the increase in places will mean that the total capacity will rise to 630 places overall.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.
