Statutory Proposal for the Enlargement of Whittaker Moss Primary School

Overview

Rochdale Council is now consulting on a proposal to provide additional primary school places at Whittaker Moss Primary School with effect from September 2017.

The proposal is to enlarge Whittaker Moss Primary School by providing an additional 15 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would be to increase the admission number to 60 from September 2017 for each new successive year group, from the current admission number of 45.

The current total capacity of the school is 315 places and the increase in places will mean that the total capacity will rise to 420 places overall.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.
