Statutory Proposal for the Enlargement of Siddal Moor Sports College

Overview

Rochdale Council is now consulting on a proposal to provide additional secondary school places at Siddal Moor Sports College with effect from September 2019.

Why your views matter

The proposal is to enlarge Siddal Moor Sports College by providing an additional 60 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would be to increase the admission number to 270 from September 2019 for each new successive year group, from the current admission number of 210.

The current total capacity of the school is 1,050 places and the increase in places will mean that the total capacity will rise to 1,350 places overall.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.
