Statutory Proposal for the Enlargement of Boarshaw CP School
Overview
Rochdale Council is now consulting on a proposal to provide additional primary school places at Boarshaw Primary School, Middleton with effect from September 2018.
The proposal is to enlarge Boarshaw Community Primary School by providing an additional 30 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would be to increase the admission number to 60 from September 2018 for each new successive year group, from the current admission number of 30. The school currently has a temporary bulge class arrangement to accommodate 60 pupils.
The current total capacity of the school is 210 places and the increase in places will mean that the total capacity will rise to 420 places overall.
Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.
