Closed 31 May 2019

Opened 3 May 2019

Overview

Rochdale Council is now consulting on a proposal to provide additional primary school places at Castleton Primary School with effect from September 2019.

Why your views matter

The proposal is to enlarge Castleton Primary School by providing an additional 30 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would be to increase the admission number to 60 from September 2019 for each new successive year group, from the current admission number of 30.

The current total capacity of the school is 270 places and the increase in places will mean that the total capacity will rise to 420 places overall.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.
