School Travel Strategy Consultation

Overview

The draft strategy sets out our ambitions to boost the number of primary, secondary and further education students travelling via sustainable means by 2030. The city-region is seeking to tackle the barriers to young people walking, wheeling and cycling, or using public transport. It has been developed as a shared priority between the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and the 10 local authorities.  

The consultation is open to everyone who lives or travels in Greater Manchester. Children and young people and their parents and guardians are encouraged to share their views in particular, as their experiences and ideas are essential in shaping a transport system that works for them now and in the future.
