Overview of proposal

In November 2016 the Council’s Cabinet approved criteria for an assessment to review the 16 Grant-Funded Community Centres.

As a result of this assessment it is proposed to remove the Council funding from the two centres that were found to be least effective – Wardleworth Community Centre and Castlemere Community Centre. These centres were assessed to have delivered least value for money for the Council.

Overall impact of proposed change

The proposal is to remove the Council funding from Wardleworth Community Centre and Castlemere Community Centre.

The Council will work with both of the organisations affected to seek to reduce the detrimental impact upon service users.
