Thank you very much for all comments submitted to the savings proposals consultation. The staff and public consultation process have now concluded.
Elected members have considered the final reports on this proposal including the staff and public views gathered during the consultation period. The decisions made are detailed below:
The contribution from Children’s Services to the Joint Health Unit will cease. This team works with the council and the Primary Care Trust to support work around health policy, strategy and research, to develop better services and more joined-up working across the two organisations to tackle health inequalities. The funding was used initially for set-up costs and has not been utilised for the past 18 months.
Proposed full year saving 2012/13: £35,000

Overview
This proposal stops the contribution from Children’s Services to the Joint Health Unit. The budget has been underspent for the last two years.
