CC106a - Review of Partnership Business Group (PBG) Operational Budget

Closed 12 Dec 2012

Opened 18 Sep 2012

Overview

Outline of Proposal

It is proposed to reduce the provision of funding to the operational budget of the Partnership Business Group (PBG) by £15,000.  The PBG is a multi-agency group made up of police and council officers.  It aims to co-ordinate action across all agencies with a view to reducing crime and disorder across the borough. Levels of Crime and Disorder have been falling across the Borough and officers feel that a reduction of 25% in this budget is appropriate.

General Impact

The reduction may impact on the ability of the Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership to respond as it does now to particular issues of Crime and Disorder in the Borough.  However, officers now have an understanding of the key issues and feel that the reduction in budget can be managed so as to minimise any impact.
