Closed 4 Nov 2015

Opened 8 Oct 2015

Overview

Notice is given that Rochdale Borough Council is considering the permanent alteration to:

Sandbrook Community Primary School, Hartley Lane, Rochdale, OL11 2LR.

On the 8th October 2015, the Local Authority will undertake consultation on the proposal to provide additional primary school places at Sandbrook CP School with effect from September 2016.

The proposal is to permanently enlarge Sandbrook CP School by providing an additional 30 places in each new admission year group. The enlargement of the school would mean an increase from the current admission number of 60 to 90 from September 2016.

The current total capacity of the school is 480 places and if the school increases to a three form entry, this will mean that the total capacity will rise to 630 places overall. The school has a nursery class of 30 FTE on roll, which will remain unchanged and 507 children on roll in Reception through to Year 6 based on the May 2015 census data.

Rochdale Borough Council will implement the proposal if Cabinet provides approval.

This Notice is an extract from the complete proposal. Copies of the complete proposals can be obtained from robert.aspinall@rochdale.gov.uk, or by writing to Robert Aspinall, School Organisation and Development Team, Early Help and Schools, Rochdale Borough Council, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU.

Within four weeks from the date of publication of these proposals, any person may object to or make comments on the proposal by writing to Robert Aspinall, School Organisation and Development Team, Early Help and Schools, Rochdale Borough Council, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU.
