Raise Rochdale Pupil Referral Service Statutory Consultation

Informal consultation on the expansion of Raise Rochdale PRS onto a new satellite site has been conducted with local stakeholders.  Cabinet on 21st January 2025 approved funding for the satellite school project to move forward to the formal consultation stage. (Cabinet on Tuesday, 21st January, 2025, 6.00 pm (rochdale.gov.uk), item 145).

Rochdale needs more alternative provision places for children who cannot attend mainstream schools and in particular school accommodation for a more vocational curriculum for Secondary aged pupils. In Rochdale PRS and Section 19 schooling was previously offered by the Brownhill Learning Community. Raise Rochdale PRS currently teaches across three different sites. It has its main school site at Heights Lane and two smaller sites; St Alban’s House and Saxon Hall.
