Why We Are Consulting

The current Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) was adopted in 2016. We are now proposing an update to this document because there have been changes to the planning system, related legislation and our notification procedures in the intervening period. Preparing the new SCI will enable the changes to be incorporated within the document. It has also provided an opportunity to review our consultation and engagement techniques.

It is important, in developing the final version of the SCI, to have the view of local businesses, key stakeholders and other interested parties.
