Designated Thornham St. John’s  Neighbourhood Forum and Area

Residents in Thornham St. John’s made an application to the council to designate a Neighbourhood Planning Forum and Neighbourhood Area in Rochdale. The Council publicised the proposals until 6 May 2019 and received a significant number of representations which supported the Neighbourhood Area and Forum. On 13 June 2019 formally designated the Neighbourhood Planning Forum. The details of the Thornham St. John’s Neighbourhood Planning Forum and Area are available in the documents below.

No other organisation or body may now be designated for that neighbourhood area until that designation expires (On 13 June 2024) or is withdrawn.

A community group from Thornham St. John’s have expressed their intention to form a Forum in order to produce a neighbourhood plan for the Thornham St. John area.

In accordance with Regulation 9 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Rochdale Borough Council is inviting representations on the proposed neighbourhood Forum application.

The consultation runs from Monday 25th March 2019 for a period of 6 weeks. All comments must be received by 5pm, Monday 6th May 2019.
